MSME ministry reviews Intellectual Property Facilitation Centers (IPFCs)

The Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) organized a one-day workshop to review the progress of Intellectual Property Facilitation Centers (IPFCs), set up under the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme (NMCP)-IPR scheme.

The workshop, which was chaired by Development Commissioner (MSME), saw representation from the World Health Organization Regional Office for South-East Asia, Additional Development Commissioner office, Office of DC-MSME, Deputy Director (IPR) and other officials of IPFCs. FISME, which will build three more IPFCs viz., New Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad, under the NMCP Scheme-Building Awareness on Intellectual Property Rights for MSMEs also participated in the workshop. Apart from reviewing the IPFCs, the importance of social media in promoting IPR amongst the MSMEs was also discussed.
